Dana DeBeaumont

Partner

Our founding partner Dana DeBeaumont has built a reputation in DC on the pillars of competence, honesty and hard work. Her goal is to help clients utilize the Federal government advantageously; securing grant writing and funding results with over 20 years of experience, diligence, and dedication. Seasoned in issues such as public safety, city infrastructure, education, environment, tax and economic development, her efforts have yielded tremendous and consistent results. She is also a prolific grant writer who digs into the minutia of programs to fully understand the criteria necessary to position and package clients to achieve objectives.

She has successfully represented a wide and diverse range of issues before Congress, Federal agencies and changing Administrations. Clients have included Infineon Corporation, The Timken Company, Silica Fume Association, Reynolds Industries, Kettering University and The Maryland Center at Bowie State University. Most recently she has focused on assisting clients from California, including education institutions such as USC Center for the Digital Future, South Orange County Community College District, the Orange County Community College Legislative Task Force and the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District; and, public entities like the cities of Hayward, Vallejo, San Leandro, Gustine and Wheatland.

Her keen focus on the shifting Federal climate has driven her to build an expertise in grants, alternative budget and authorization strategies and policies that produce funding, increase flexibility and reduce costs for clients. Dana doesn’t believe in providing surface level services; instead, she devotes the necessary time and energy to understanding the details of funding accounts and grant programs to produce strategic and consistent results for clients. She has successfully managed more than $100 million in appropriations projects and secured over $63 million for clients through competitive grants in just a few years.

Prior to coming to Washington, Dana managed a public relations firm in Illinois, where she garnered extensive media coverage for an array of clients, including political, business, legal, medical and not-for-profit entities. She has served as a press secretary for a variety of local, state, and congressional Illinois campaigns. Dana also worked as a reporter in Illinois, covering the Chicago suburbs and the Statehouse.

Dana has two sons: Mac, a graduate of Claremont McKenna College, who works for the Red Cross, Los Angeles, and Oliver, a George Washington University graduate with a degree in biology. She loves to travel, is an avid National’s baseball fan, and enjoys walking with her Beagle, Dingo.
