Mariana Garrick

Mariana Garrick is a Bay Area native and a recent graduate from San Francisco State University (SFSU). While enrolled in her degree program for Liberal Studies, she performed as a customer service and client relations representative, and later became the managing editor and news anchor for The Solano Tempest and writer for Insight Magazine. While pursuing her B.A. in Journalism with a minor in Sociology, she authored several articles for The Martinez Tribune and Xpress Magazine, SFSU’s award-winning student-run publication. With several years of experience in professional writing, reporting, sales, client relations and sociology, her diverse background allows her to embrace potential clients and consumers with the utmost respect and professionalism to meet their needs. With her comprehensive skills and experience, she is able to clearly understand outlined objectives that are essential in outreach.
Currently, Mariana is learning Spanish as a second language to communicate effectively with others. She also has a passion for reading, writing, exploring class stratification and researching social justice matters. In her free time, she enjoys teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at an adult education facility, volunteering for her local community, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
