Meghan Brascia-Burns

Director

Meghan Brascia-Burns has worked with Capitol Advocacy Partners for three years after working in public, catholic, and charter schools in Nevada and Colorado. In 2015, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Education from the University of Houston, where she played Division I soccer on a full athletic scholarship. In 2020, Meghan finished her Masters in Elementary Education. First hired as an associate grant writer, she has honed her skills in grant program development, grant management skills, and client relations, being promoted to Client Manager and now Director. She has secured highly competitive grants for clients across multiple federal agencies. This includes Magnet School Assitance Program and Full Service Community Schools from the US Department of Education, Project AWARE from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, and a Strategy Development Grant and Phase 2 Award for the Recompete Program for the Economic Development Agency, where 1% of applicants were awarded. She has also assisted CAP team members with successful CA State and specific CA County grants for public safety and mental health support. She has won nearly 75 million dollars for clients in her three years at Capitol Advocacy Partners. She enjoys attending concerts and traveling to concerts with her husband, as well as any adventure time she can have with her two Labradoodles, Ru and Abel.
