Miranda Schnoor

Miranda Schnoor is a dedicated advocate with experience working in the education, mental health advocacy, and nonprofit arenas. A 2021 graduate from Shenandoah University, Miranda earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting before completing a service term with AmeriCorps, teaching literacy skills to elementary students. It was during her time with AmeriCorps that Miranda first realized her passion for supporting and advocating for young people, their families, and their communities. Following her service term, she joined NAMI Virginia, Virginia’s statewide branch of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

As NAMI Virginia’s Youth & Young Adult Programs Manager, Miranda developed and facilitated programming for young people across the state, connecting community members and organizations to work towards common goals, and advocating for policy that would support youth & young adults across Virginia. Her passion for uplifting communities and dedication to her work is matched by her belief in continuous learning, both personal and professional. She approaches her work with enthusiasm and curiosity, always looking for creative and collaborative solutions.

In her free time, Miranda enjoys making art, building connections in her community, spending time with friends and family, and curling up with her cat and a good book.
